Default RE050's in the Very Wet

Just caught in major downpour on M27 near Chichester, RE050s acquitted themselves even in standing water, managed to keep 70mph without concern .

70 mph in 5th, 6th Gear for about 40 miles, in my view big improvement over S02's, which felt skittish in very wet conditions, and especially when running through standing water. Overtook huge lorry with massive spray coming across, car felt completely stable

Any other comments re RE050's would be interesting.

I have only just reached 400 miles, so unable to fully assess new tyres.

Initial views are low profile gives slightly harder ride but improved road feel, definitely gives you more confidence on fast cornering

But the S02s are a virtual racing slick, they do what they do best, in the dry.

You may find the tread pattern of the RE050 is not as good in the dry but more `middle of the road` allround as the MY04 target seems to be gunning for.

On the plus side there may be fewer mishaps as a result

Carper by name ,carper by nature.

Just for your information the Dictionary defines carper as ,someone who frequently finds fault or makes harsh and unfair judgments

My comments related to driving at 70mph on the Motorway, did not refer to driving through standing water at 70 mph

Next time you want to comment think before you reply, and do us all a favour by keeping your immature puerile comments to yourself.

Michael, to be fair, that does read like you were driving through standing water at 70 Easily mis-interpreted.

Sometimes the fish I gun for crawl up the bank. Sometimes they need more food.

But they generally get held in my arms eventually.

Back to RE050s.....I`m going to do some investigation on the tread patterns and reviews right now. I`ll report back.
