Default RE050As - dumb question?

This may be met with the customary derision, just put on some RE050As on my 16ich original wheels, but do these tyres have a way round? I think the garage put one on back to front looking at the way the tread goes and if so is this dangerous?

Had the rears done 4 weeks ago by a yocal garage (tyre was falt and knackered and couldn't get the car my usual tyre people).

Just had the fronts done by someone else and the tread pattern mirrors the other. Rather than being the same way as per the rears - so one of these is wrong if there is a way round??

Cheers

Andy

Look at the tyres, they say outside or inside. If it says inside, they're on wrong!!

Ah OK

Couldn't really see any writing like that - I'll look closer.. Let's assume they are wrong then, is it a major problem? As I'll have to get someone else to refit it.

Yes it is not good, especially if it is raining, suggest you have them re-fitted asap.

I think that there are directional / rotation arrows as well.

Thanks guys

Moral of the story - never lend your car to your brother who goes ahead and gets some dodgey garage to replace the tyres (at least they put they correct ones on) but I had to tell him which ones to get. He had also managed to ding the front of the car, which must have lead to allignment being knocked which is why I prematurely had to replace the fronts - that's when I noticed the different direction of tread.

Lend my bro the car for a couple of days and I've had to replace all 4 tyres (the rears were due admittidly but I didn't tell him that) and will need a little body work at the front - can't wait to send him the bill - I refused to have it done on insurance!!!

They are asymmetric which means they can rotate in either direction, but, as others have said, Outside needs to go on the outside.

My local garage is going to turn the offending tyre around and also will be getting a nearby bodyshop (who also does Ferraris) to fix the ding - hope it's not too expensive....
