Default Ratteling clutch on lift off.

I have a issue with my clutch on lift off (decleration), when the car is left to decelerate in gear the clutch seems to give off a rattle. Clutch plate maybe?? Depressing the clutch makes no diference, so I have rueled out the release bareing.

As soon as you put some drive through it, the noise goes.

Apart from that the clutch seems fine, a little bouncy in 2nd after initial engagement at low revs, but it seems fine.

I dont really want to change it as it not a drivablity issue, its just a little annoying.

The car has done 57,000 miles and is still on its original clutch.

I suspect you have clutch buzz, which almost every MY99-MY01 has, it's normal.

Cool.

That does help mate, cheers. Rests my mind a little if it's common.

Is there a cure for clutch buzz?

Yes, is normal, unless the clutch was updated. Took Honda a few attempts to get it right. Some had the first fx, then needed to get that replaced a few months later! If gear change is still fine after all this time, is probably safe to ignore it.

Mine doesn't do it at all since the clutch (and gearbox) was replaced.

There doesn't seem to be any negative consequence to the clutch buzz, it's just a little annoying.
