Lee, there is not going to be much airflow below your bonnet and I would worry about this while running with the Mugen ECU.
the total airflow into the engine bay is determined by the speed of the car - the size of the intake and outlets. If you notice on the F1 cars, cooling adjustments are determined not by the intake sizes - but by changing the number of exhaust vents.. The other components in the engine are not air cooled - if it was very important then they would have different shapes and positions within the engine bay.

the air guides/plates are used to ensure the radiators get maximum flow.. typically the radidator cross section area is bigger than the intake - this means there is pressure drop infront of it.. this reduces the air speed and therefore reduces the drag caused by the air passing through the radiator.

There is then some thrust coming from the exhausted air - and it's much better if this can be at the top of the car versus the bottom.. again note the F1 cars all vent upwards and not downwards. The vented bonnets therefore have additional areo function beyond increasing the cooling capacity on the car.

You're wrong Steven - J's Racing also do a rad plate...

No I am not .... that rad plate was not designed to work with their intake, was it?

ASM don't do performance parts for the S do they?

The only way I can see that a rad plate wouldn't make any difference is if you have a vented hood ..... otherwise they will be reducing airflow circulation directly under the hood which can't bee good for the car/engine.

This is just going round in circles. Fine Steven - rad plates are bad for engines.

Show me some evidence, rather than speculation.

Looks like the prolific polishers trying to justify their bling.

I think Honda knew what they were doing when they designed the airguide.

.... and I couldn't give a fcuk how my engine bay looks. I bought the car to drive
