On the topic of windscreens, there's a stone chip on the top left of mine that's smaller than a 5p. Who would you recommend for a repair on that?
You can just do it on a Saturday while you shop.

Pushchairs n' chips.
Now I understand the connection.
The RAC'oles Customer CGAF Dept still hasn't found that EK rear window. Maybe it's because they were ALL imported. From Mars, probably.

I normally would trust the monkey's at longleat with my car more than a halfords employee, but free sounds great. I'll have to pop down on Sat n ask.
I thought my 'Bell Direct' insurance might cover it, but it looks like there's an excess to pay on replacments and repairs for windscreens. The excess looks like more than the cost of a repair, I'll have to check when I get home.

Had the screen replaced at RAC AutoWindscreens near Guildford yesterday.
First impressions are they did a good job, can't see any obvious faults. Left the car with them rather than have them do it mobile as I couldn't offer a covered area.
Trim looks good all round, mirror fixed.
Had to wait a little while for the insurance to confirm they'd pay for a dealer supplied screen (rather than an RAC "own brand") and then for RAC to order it in.
So, depite my resverations looks like a

I think 'free' is the quality issue here.
