I'd like to put some money on mine outperforming your mugen setup .
I deleted that as I hadn't read your second post. I would have loved to have had my car on the same dyno as yours, my car would have made 280hp on that dyno LOL

Get a proper intake AJ

Funny guy

It made 232 standard so its not a high reader.

Dyno Dynamics is a retarder dyno just like the land and sea i use.

You have a small point about the intake

Mugen - for people with more money than sense

Made sense to me and both the manifold and exhaust were sold for a lot more money than I paid for them helped by currency exchanges of course

I am serious about making 280hp on your Dyno btw.

I am not convinced you have the best intake or the right tuned ECU, spend your money on the AEM ECU and get Mase to tune it. Then put it back on your Dyno, you might even get more than me then LOL

I think i would make power if i dyno'd on the same day as you what was it -1c?

I also have a before and after which i believe you dont have? so its a bit pointless, also the fact comparing dynos to dynos is pointless.

Steve made 280 WHP (supercharged) on the same dyno which again seems resonable

I am serious I doubt your would make 280BHP (a lot less I'd of loved you to have came down and tried with the money I'd win on the bet ) on the dyno i use, it is quite accurate judging by the many stock cars that come in and make just under the manufacturers figures.

Agreed on the ECU i could yeild a little more (me and my mate both come to the conclusion), but theres not alot of scope to play with ignition timing wise more fueling i know this with the experience i had with an F20c an emerald standalone. Partial throttle yeah the vafc2 is useless, WOT its good.

If i bought an AEM and got mase to tune i might as well buy a turbo/SC kit for the money/sell a kidney to pay for it. I dont think it would be worth another £1k+ for the small gains (excluding P.T).

I dont know honestly on the intake some would say the mugen intake is good others say its not
too bad.

Tangoman had great result from the full mugen setup if anyone can remember or keep quiet.

That's the way I will probably go AJ. Mapped AEM. If you go turbo you have the expense of the AEM plus the turbo kit so I don't think the 2 arguments compare.

AJ as you know I do not believe in F1 on the S2000. It is a highly tuned NA car and I believe it should stay like that. I would rather drop a J's or ASM completed block into my car and pay for it rather than go F1 and thats me. I understand it is cheaper to go the F1 route but it does not float my boat with the S2000. If I wanted another turbo I would buy an Evo or WRX again

Is Mase and AEM worth the money? From what I can see the answer is a clear yes and although alot of outlay, the ECU can still be sold on for a relatively small loss, just do it I will come to the Dyno and see the smile on your face

The 280hp quoted was based on your car making 265hp on that dyno

TDI North by any chance? I have seen some very optimistic dyno results from them.
