Problem with my car and Honda Dealer!
I have taken my car to Lookers Honda this morning as my clutch keeps slipping under hard acceleration at 7-8k rpm+
Unfortunately when I was trying to replicate the problem this morning it wouldn't happen. Sods law as it wouldn't happen for the mechanic either Now they are telling me that there is nothing wrong and I bet they haven't even looked!
I have said that this is not good enough and they are going to take it out again. I am sure that the car needs to be running quite hot before it happens and I have told them this. What should I do??? Its driving me mad I don't want to have to live with a car thats clutch rides when I overtake, its losing me races

Think you might be right! I am mad now, they have just driven it again and cannot find anything wrong, so there aren't going to do anything
What the hell am I supposed to do!!??
I haven't done any standing starts or abused my clutch, this is a joke. I am going to pick up the car now, and if I get it to happen again, I will get really angry

So the clutch basically slips when you are flooring it between 7-8k rpm?
I would take it to another dealer. And if you really want the clutch changed - try ragging it hard for a while before you take it to the dealership so that you can show them what you are experiencing.

It doesn't do it everytime, only when the clutch is hot. This morning I really nailed it and it didn't happen once, went like a dream.
Tomorrow I am in Brum for a meeting so if it is happening on the way back, I will drive straight in and take the Service bloke out for a 'lively' spin and show the git!

Moff try Gordon Lamb at Chesterfield they replaced a couple of clutches on my old one and know what the crack is. 01246221133 ask for Mike. BTW the new one slips when doing 4-5k pull aways if I feed the clutch in for too long, you can have the clutch disenaged and foot down and it will still be slipping. Its just a rather naff clutch or should I say not up to the job.
