Default Privilege Insurance Requirements

Just thought I throw this onto the forum for info for other owners.

For the 2nd yr running Privilege Insurance have asked me for details of the immobiliser/tracker fitted to my car for cover against loss or damaged caused by theft or attempted theft.

Accordingly I sent them a copy of the relevant page from the original sales literature, which I'd already sent them last year (but to which they'd never replied), but guess what; this wasn't/isn't satisfactory.

To cut along story short I today spoke with Bianca Wells at Honda UK Customer Relations and having explained the situation and providing her with documented proof of ownership, she is putting a letter together for me with the relevant info I need for my insurer's.

So if anyone runs into this same problem; I'd give her a call (01753 590338). A most polite and helpful young lady

You should have a certificate in your log book for the alarm.

I never needed this with privilege, I did however need to bend over and give them £260 for adding an exhaust to the insurance...

For a 2007 car (or anything newer than 2004) they should know it has a CAT1 immobilizer. I had the same problem with direct line and went elsewhere after they assured me my car was an import....which it's not!

It is an import, it was built in Japan, but thats not what you meant I know, but I would have enjoyed tieing them up in knots about the definition of "import".
