Some of those members got pissed off because 1. I got a substantial discount 2. I decided not to buy a Boxster after a discount was offered 3.Choose an S as a better option instead and 4. Because I posted on that forum the discount I was offered for others to use. Some members, in a mistaken belief, felt that posting it was unethical and should not have been done on a public forum!
We don't have those issues on this forum, we all discuss what the best deals are so we can use the same dealer. They wanted to attack someone who didn't buy a boxster and instead bought the S but at the end of the day it was my cash not theirs which I was going to spend and I will do it without their misguided views on reality. They call it tyre kicking and I call it negotiating. Long story short good forum ruined by children who don't know when to shut up when adults are talking.
There were a good bunch of people in majority who PM'd me and posted in support of my actions and guided me in the right directions for a discount but the people posting shit were nothing more than morons justifying the comments about Porsche owners being up their own backsides and I didn't want to be part of that group. Simple really. It seems that some members on that forum had nothing to say which was decent and proved that they needed to mature. However all forums by their nature will always have people who are idiots, others who climb the moral high ground, condescending, supportive, friendly etc. This is one drawback of being behind a pc instead of face to face. The topic about forum psychology is for another thread another time.
Thanks for reading and sorry if I bored you with my dislikes of certain people on boxanet.
