Power Hood Interlock
Does anyone know how to (simply) defeat the power hood interlock, in order that it can be operated without the handbrake engaged and the speedometer registering anything but "0"?
I reckon there's more than enough grunt in the motors to handle a sensible-ish open or close at say 20mph.

Can't help with the 20mph !! (a bit extreme by the way !!!) but you can drive off while raising/lowering the hood.
Just make sure that the handbreak is up one notch as just as long as you don't go over 4 mph it'll work fine.

Asking for trouble.
At any speed above walking you could do some very serious, expensive and out of warranty damage.
You might even flip over upside down.
NOT
Don't do it.

Probably just a case of opening up the centre console and shorting across the switch
Sounds like a fantastic way to wreck the lid and invalidate your warranty to me though

Don't fancy the idea of taking the dash apart to make the mod' - as Chris Type R said, more trouble than it's worth
I can't see that opening the roof at a sensible-ish, slow, sort of speed would cause too much grief - I've opened and closed it in some pretty stiff winds without any trouble. Maybe the fact that opening requires the windscreen header rails to be released manually has something to do with it - safety concerns perhaps?
