S2000 is a good daily drive if you like a drivers car. It is quite raw, noisy and is not very comfortable for a long commute compared to say a rep mobile. Of course the plus side of the S is that on a sunny day, you can drop the top, rev the nuts of it and all the uncomfort goes away as the car sings and glides through the country lanes. Something which is more comfortable daily drive like a rep mobile could not do as they are dull all the time!

If you are concerned about mpg you are looking at the wrong car.

And if your getting a post 06 version, the £425 road tax. With petrol, insurance, tyres and road tax. The S2000 is not the cheapest car to run.

I only had mine just over a month and I have yet to see 300 miles out of a tank. I've done about 230 miles from my current tank and got about 6 bars left on my fuel gauge, thats including a 190 miles motorway journey

Chung, asides from the tax & fuel issues, there is the practical side that people don't realise the S2000 has...it's great for carrying big bits of wood! (I did get some funny looks at traffic lights though... )

And I also had a big bag of concrete in the boot, which fitted perfectly in the concrete bag carrying recess

I hope that you consider that my car fits in your extremely good category

Thanks for the plug.

I regularly get 280-300 miles from 45L of standard unleaded in normal daily driving. I didn't find any significant increase in economy from using Super unleaded, just a bit more performance.

The S2000 is an easy car to live with on a daily basis in my opinion.

Thanks for the advice Earls nice wood there. I was only wondering about MPG as ive sold my car Subaru Impreza and we all know what thats like on fuel and still have another car but want to get rid of it so I cant just have one car saving on alot of things over a year I just thought an S2000 would be a good car thats inbetween a turbo'ed car and boring N/A car. My insurance is good £550 cant really complain too much.

fuel economy was one thing that swayed me more towards the s2000. I was looking at 350z, rx8, evo's etc and the s2000 beats them all. I daily drive mine and get better fuel economy than all my previous cars
