Porsche 944 chase.
Easier than it looked, mate of mine who had a run in it said it would probably leave me behind, I did not even have to put the airbox cover back on. ;-)
A friend of mine had just bought a 12 year old Porsche 944, wanted to see what it would do against my S2000 so I agreed.
Quick of the mark but not quick enough, i'd say he was in the 6.5 - 7 second mark, had some pull on the straights but nothing the S2000 was going to worry about. Easily kept on his tail but lost him as soon as I took over, very similar traction to the S2000 but had visibly more roll on the roundabouts. A good hoot and not a bad looking motor.
He did try the old smoking exhaust trick when he really started pushing it, those 12 year old cars can make some great effects.
Would make a stonking trackday car, purchase price

I had a 944 when I was 16. I loved the thing, and looked at a late model 944 convertible in excellent condition when I was looking at the s2000. I decided it would be better to have a car that wasn't always in the shop (like my original 944). I made the right choice.
