Mine definately doesnt, i regularly drive with the handbrake on one notch, lowering or putting up the roof in slow traffic

mine MY00 doesn't do the hand brake or the seat belt, only the very annoying keys in ignition sounds.

Just another sign of the S getting fat and lardy in its old age

less than 3 mile per hour I think. Also all these beeps def. only happen on the 04/05 as they never happened on my 00.

will check the plug thing - cheers

you need to snip the speed sensor wire

then it will go down at any speed (the faster you go, the faster it'll go down )

There is a how to with pictures somewhere, can't be arsed searching for it.

Here's the thread with pics and instructions. Modifry seems to have removed it from his website though.
