Default Plugs ....

Had another coil pack failure yesterday and thought I had better check the plugs this morning whilst I was locating the failed coil pack.

Probably been about a year and 5k miles since I last checked them.

Imo look okay except 1 and 3 seem to look little they have been running on the rich side, but that could be due to exhaust scavenging as you have an aftermarket manifold

Irdiums particularly good makes like ngk absolutely last a lot long longer than 5k, even if you are one of these people who unnecessarily change oil every 6k if you did the same to the plugs you would be changing them at around 20k.

Those plugs have been in the car since I went FI and that was around 20k miles back.

The 3rd plug was in Cylinder 4 and it was black, the others were fine.

I replaced them with a set of NGK IFR8H11 plugs, these were the only suitable plugs I could get from the local Halfords.

Number three looks the one running the richest. Otherwise, gap looks ok.
