I too am in same boat. I have a LHD S2000 which needs to go in summer (for a RHD). So far i have 3 at top of list and leaning towards having more practicality (space) than S2000...

1) RX-8 - but I know I will be disappointed by the engine
2) 350Z - but I know I will think it is too lardy. JC (as in J.Clarkson not J.Christ) also didnt rate it. Its for americans.
3) Evo 8 - but I know I will look like a boy-racer.

Honda needs to bring out a coupe or a blow your socks of Integra. Ive head my S for 3 years and just dont want to let it go - but cant go through life only having one type of car!

2nd hand 996 has to be it.

Though I do prefer the looks of the 993.

A bit of a generalisation is it not!!!

what about VW Corrado VR6? Civic Type R?

seem fairly good quality to me.....

Come now, I am talking proper quality cars and I repeat again, there is not a single FWD to be found anywhere. FWD is just no good on those sorts of vehicles, because it is a volume method of production system and as you will see on any cheap car upwards towards mid-range, it is what is used. Conversely, there are no RWD cheap cars.
Let me put these examples to you; Jaguar, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Ferrari, All the exotic supercars, Maserati, AC, Rolls Royce, Bentley, McClaren, all F1 cars, etc. etc.
Got it now?

You guys won't believe this but I am back. Yes I am buying another S!!!!

I am soooo fickle minded. I drove the Boxster for 2 days and loved the car but I didn't get the fun factor and kept on thinking about the S. I loved the s2k and nothing else comes even close to it for me in terms of grin factor alone. Good though the boxster is, it is too civilised for an uncouth person like me. I want to be a hooligan.

So all in all my moonrock is on order first thing Monday morning. One other reason was the deciding factor and that was the Porsche dealers, what a bunch of ass*****! If I feel this way when trying to buy a car then imagine what it will be like after I have made the purchase.

I tried very hard to get a good deal and in the end secured free metallic paint and half price PSM (traction control), free mats and tank of petrol too and the deal was going to be done but I just didn't like the attitude of the dealers. I was told by everyone I would not get the deal I was looking for but I bargain hard and rough.

Anyway will be happy to come back to the fantastic car. I also went out today and bought a nearly new 5 Series to replace my other car and got a fantastic deal on that too. Two cars in one weekend, must be some kind of record!?!

So hello again and will be back on the roads with you guys and girls soooooooonnnnn....

Good lad!
Thats what I said at the beginning.
Stay with the Honda.
Most German car dealer sales people are all wind and pi$$ at the end of the day, simply reflecting over-rated and over-priced cars I'm afraid.
