I have just seen a sony HU that has a built in 1 gig mp3 player in the removable face plate just remove from car and download from PC
It may have been out for a while but its the first i have seen and I thought it a good idea
Yeah I saw that while browsing but in the end I thought 1GB was just a bit small. I can never tell what music I'm going to want to listen to from one moment to the next so 1GB won't cut the mustard Cheers though,

Connects2 have a few options about, but only 1 for non apple mp3 players

http://thebassbin.co.uk/shop/product...s_id/2603.html

This should provide the aux-in requirement for a non apple interface.

Looking at the pic, all you need is a std twin RCA to headphone jack cable to finish it off.

Got mine ipod version made by Connects2 installed a few weeks back - very happy with it.

The std aux in version obviously wont let you control tracks etc, you will need to use the mp3 player for that.

Not sure if I posted a link correctly - so sorry if not!

A lot dearer than the Blaupunkt, but seems far easier to use.
And it still takes a HD USB as well as the iPod.

I was hoping the display was bigger. I have a 9850R and the display is too small the new one isn't much bigger just a different shape.
Also I don't find the Ipod interface speed on the 9850 to be slow so not sure why they massive increase is such a benefit!

Probably because it has to transfer album art etc to the HU?

Like I'm going to bother looking at a 200 pixel square of the album art whilst driving the the S!
