When I was looking to insure my recently purchased S2000 I got in touch, amongst others, with A-Plan. They didn't have the best quote originally but, honestly, I have NEVER seen an insurance broker try so hard to improve on the quote and get it right for me. I can honestly say A-Plan have, at least in the sales phase, the best customer service I have ever seen for an insurance company. They actually listened to my requirements, it wasn't the usual 'mindlessly typing the details in and seeing what the computer says' but rather making an effort to understand what I needed and phoning around to make it happen.
In the end they weren't the outright cheapest quote but I bought the insurance from them nonetheless just based on service.
It helps that the Basingstoke branch manager (whom I dealt with) owns an S2000 himself so he was very keen to help a fellow enthusiast. I even met him in person on the day cover started (I had picked my car up in Slough) so he could hand me all the papers in person so I could have them for my trip the following day. It also helps that all the branch managers own the business between them so they have a true interest in making sure things work.
In summary, cannot reccomend them highly enough!

A-plan are by far the best insurance company I have ever spoke to. Friendly and very helpful - you actually feel like they want your business rather than just reading a computer screen.

Had the FD2 insurance with A-Plan, the service was brilliant. Chris Knott is pretty friendly too and when my policy is renewed one of those guys will be getting the business - probably
