Pigeon Crap
I always knew that birdshit could not be good for the car but I didn't realise just how corrosive it can be until last weekend when I decided to hose off the algae/greenscum from the roof of my polycarbonate roofed pergola.
I was amazed to find that the crap from our resident ring doves had burnt holes straight through the outer skin of the triplewall sheeting. I suppose it must be alkaline rather than acid but whatever the cause the effect is horrific.
Moral: get guano off the S2000 as pdq as possible.

On a serious note, the crap deposited by the typical feral type pigeons which infest town centres and built -up areas can be highly dangerous stuff. They live off all sorts of rubbish and pickings from bins etc. You need to be a bit careful dealing with it. The mess they make in Walsall town centre all over pavements and buildings is awful!
When the council cull them from time to time, the furor from some locals has to be seen to be believed.
