On the Shell website it says under FAQ's - vehicle FAQ's:
'Note that some pre 1986 cars, generally older vehicles which are not fitted with hardened valve seats, will need to use a valve seat protection additive.'
Don't worry about using it in your S2K

I had been using Optimax for the last 16k. It is very good, and the car feels much smoother through the gears, and more responsive. For the last two tanks, I have been using BP SUL, no performance difference but noticably better fuel economy. Think I may stick with BP now unless I really do notice a change.
Also, it will take approx. 1500 miles to really notice a change, when changing from 95 RON to Optimax.
