Surely if the supermarket designate spaces in their (mostly) private car parks then one should abide by them?

Not if you can't get in and out of the car without damage to the adjacent one!

I always wondered the logic behind people doing this kind of thing.

Do you also rock up to the basket only checkout with a trolley?

Nope, the trolley only checkouts are usually empty at the times I go

I was in Cribbs the other day in Bristol with a mahusive car park. It was the middle of the day and it was deserted - there must have been about 4000 free spaces. I parked on a new row, nearest car was at least 50m away.

When I came back about 30mins later my jaw nearly hit the floor when I found some p.o.s fiesta parked about 2ft from my door.

No dents amazingly but I have NO CLUE why they chose to park so close and then make it so hard for themself to get out of their own car!

I think its because some people can't park straight without some form of visual reference! So they have to use an adjacent vehicle to get straight between the lines.
For some reason using the painted lines on the ground as a reference doesn't work for them.
Either that or they are genuinely awkward sods who want to make other peoples lives as difficult a possible.

Kinda like those that park in two spaces or in the parent and child spaces!

nah, it's only people that use the disabled spaces that tend to do that ime

selfish I guess

bitter

or both

I've often wondered why they don't have disabled checkouts

can't bother people being labelled

otherwise they wouldn't use the parking spaces
