Is this not and always has been a fact of life, acidents happen and the more presious an object sods law says its more likely to be damaged!

And just driving the car means damage, crikey theres no paint left on the front of mine, the windscreen is shot blast and has 2 "stars" drivers seat is scuffed as a result of being fat and wearing jeans. Two of the stone chips look like they were caused by bricks! And worst of all is the self inflicted ding on top of near side front wing from an errant tin of WD40.

I just dont know how who you keep the car so pristine if u drive it on a regular basis, I cant even keep it clean most of the time !!!

Or is it that i am just not sufficently Anal ? and enjoy the driving experiance rather than the spit and polish ? Its after all not a classic, vintage or super car is it, not even that expensive judging by the prices that one has seen lately , Mondeo territory!

self-inflicted damage and the wear and tear caused by stone chips cannot really be avoided

the thread is about people who cause damage to other people's cars, either maliciously or thoughtlessly

that kind of damage is avoidable or can be compensated

A bit sad that not only do you do something you know is wrong but you also get some pleasure from winding others up who follow the rules.

Some of the responses on this thread just amaze me.

I see the stereotype of the inconsiderate sports car driver lives on!
what a woeful and quite unreasonable assumption I did not have a brat with me, although I readily admit it would not be mine. Do not assume I was pleasure seeking by the actions I described, you have no evidence for this.

The one obvious solution not mentioned is home delivery .... apart obviously from corporal punishment for the inconsiderate and frankly selfish people who have no respect for other people or thier property regardless of the apparent worth of it.
