Worse case scenario - park next to the nicest car you can find in the car park, I would like to think that those who have done well for themselves are respectful of other peoples property.

as long as it isn't a 4x4

it is best to just accept that it is going to happen.

just wait a few years and have all the dents and scratches done then.

its only a car.

one of my mrs's dogs jumped up on the drivers door and left 6 scratches down it.

doesnt matter.what can you do eh???

Use your current S as a beater and buy something flashy.
VW ToeRag maybe

Weren't you having an the beginnings of an automotive love affair with one of them at one point

I seem to remember reading your review with a tear in my eye and a packet of hankies.

To the OP, don't get stressed about it,. It's annoying but that is all
Winding yourself up about something just makes it worse when it happens!
(which it inevitabley will)

@ TRW

Quite an angry vicious girlfriend you had
It was odd because it was more like being oblivious and careless than angry or anything.

I just think some people dont consider/care that others are bothered about little dents here and there. If they have crap cars then they just dont seem to give a s**t about the fact that the car next to them might be worth 25k and a dent will ruin someones day.

I used to have an old beater and someone reversed into me in a supermarket car park (while i was in the car), I immediately got out and inspected, found no damage and went to talk to the other driver who had just wandered off after parking - no interest in seeing if it was ok or anything!

I just come to the conclusion most people are inconsiderate fools.

Same kind of people who use the parent and child spaces in car parks or the pull in/drop off lanes and just leave their car there.

Im going to stop now as im getting worked up!

those would be the people who believe their money is as good as any parent's

and who don't believe parents and children merit a better space than anyone else

And the same thing goes for disabled spaces too no doubt?

I'm with J8mie and Wah...supermarket car park spaces are too small so use 2 at a time.
I also park as far from entrance as possible to minimize the risk but there never seems to be a quiet time!

I've started doing a 40 mile round trip to 24 hour Tescos early on saturday morning to avoid this kind of incident.
