Default People that have had the roof rubbing thing

I've taken a look at mine, and there's a small patch of roof on the inside (where the frame is behind the drivers right shoulder) which is starting to scuff.

I remember a couple of people had problems here - do you have any pics?

There was this one a while ago, a cheap and simple 'fix'

Hi Jo,

I had this on my MYO4. There was a 1.5 inch scuff on the inside and where the fabric had worn thin it started to indent on the outside of the roof. At first my Honda dealer tried to say there had been an impact but soon changed his tune when I dropped the roof a few inches at a time and the knuckle on iron frame lined itself up and then followed the line of the scuff perfectly as the roof dropped further.

The roof was replaced under warranty with no quibbles after that.

HTH

Thanks, I'll see what they say; it hasn't worn thin yet but it is scuffing!

Mine also - I am going to mention next month at my service. I have "scuffing" on both sides.

how weird - never really heard of it til recently and someone's thread prompted me to take a look.

The car is 6 months old and so far we're on the second set of wheels, new bumper on the way, new roof catches on order (all warranty work), and this is rubbing. That's before we start on the fact the new wheels seem scratched and the other roof catch needs replacing

Ho hum, I'm working things out one thing at a time and it'll be perfect soon

Now I know I have to drive slowly at the moment due to excessive points on my license, but there's no need to go THAT extreme
