Default Passenger dashboard cover

There's something rattling behind the cut out the covers the lower section of the dash on the passenger side, does this just pull out or does it slide? I can't see any screws holding it there.

Thanks

Get some proper trim removal tools.

That panel can break if you use brute strength.
It is held on by 6 ultra strong poppers.

Lots of wires and sockets in there - so lots of scope for rattling.

I had no problems popping mine without tools.

Feel for the bottom ones and pop them from the back side and carefully and gradually pop the rest.

Probably best done when it's sunny so it warms the plastic up too I guess, less chance of breaking a clip, will give it a go one day...

A fair number have been broken doing this - including my 07.

Kiwi mentioned he saw it happen many times and refused to pull anyone's panel - he left the owners to do it. When doing the roof mod at JAE - it happened to mine too.

I used a wallpaper scraper to ease the cover off, it spreads the load on the lugs.?
