Default Partially bushing suspension

Chaps,

Just noticed my front right compliance bush has dropped down and attempting to make a bit for freedom. No knocks in the suspension oddly enough, I was even able to 'push' it back up onto the metal sleeve!

Obviously I need to address this, what is the feasibility of;

1. Just replacing the compliance bushes with Poly? (Assuming the arms want to come off)
2. Assuming lower arms are stuck on, replacing all the front lower arm bushes with poly?

There are two reasons, a I don't want to compromise the ride too much, and secondly to minimize costs. (The rest of the bolts seem to adjust okay when I get my tracking done)

Any issues with running a mixed set of bushes? Plan to run Powerflex.

General consensus is to run a rubber bush in the compliance bush as opposed to a poly, as they give no compliance at all.

Can get Mugen ones or Powerflex do rubber ones too mate.

I run front lower front poly and compliance is mugen rubber, replaced as N/s one was torn and front bushes were seized in too, and in all honesty the ride is OEM. Hardly tell a difference.

I'd replace them with mugen

Go Mugen with the compliance and either poly or Mugen for the front lower (or not at all if you can get the bolt out without chopping) the fronts have a double layer bush (two metal sleeves) so I doubt they wear very much so if you can get away with not replacing them I would.

You can buy Mugen compliance bushes as a pair, and you can buy the other bushes from Spoon as pairs. If you don't need to replace all bushes, then don't.

Excellent, I may just do that. I have no inclination to re-do the entire car, so if I can just replace the compliance, or at the worst poly the front lowers that'd be great.

Looks like I would need 2,3 and 4 at worst.

If partly re bushing, I'd try and stick to rubber rather than poly. I can't quantify why exactly, but I'd be a little uncomfortable knowing that the suspension bushes are mismatched.

That's what I was trying to say (admittedly not well). You can buy just what you need from Mugen and Spoon, and retain the rubber, rather than going Poly.

It's more expensive, but that's what I'd do if I had to do it again.

Thanks guys, didn't realise there was a rubber bush available as a substitute. Think I'll go for the mugen or spoon rubber bushes.
