A little over zealous with the tunes on the way to work and I've blown one of my Alpine component door speakers I think.

A big buzzing/rattling when the bass kicks in.

Bugger! Only had them for about 8 months too.

You'll never get them through on warranty - Alpine have an entire department that deals with it, I'll be surprised if you get any comeback.

Are you using a standalone amplifier or the head unit?

Standalone amp.

I might take the opportunity to upgrade to something beefier and use my other beefier amp at the same time.
