As you can probably see from my signature, I want red calipers too... but after reading this thread I'm having second thoughts!

I have red calipers at the moment (had black and silver so far) and liked them for a while, but now ready for a change. Im thinking gold this time. That's the best thing though, it only takes about an hour, I've used hammerite and it's stood up to temperatures fine, and when you get bored you can just repaint them again.

Paint them any colour YOU like. It's your car!

I've been meaning to do this for a long time now, hamerite is bought and ready in the cupboard.... but I just can't be arsed to jack the car up and go paint them!

I painted mine some years back and over time they became very dirty as you expect, but also some of the paint started to chip off, which makes them look a million times worse. Paint them black and forget about them

Mine will be getting done black as a bit of a refresh. Always found Hammerite to be cheaper and better than caliper paint. Just get a wore brush in there first and some clutch and brake cleaner and your ready to go.

Mine are red as well, they were like that when I bought the car a few weeks ago. I don't mind them too much to be honest but I think I may put them back to silver or a gun metal colour to match the wheels.
