Paint Work Hell....
Hi,
I have just purchased an 06 S2k in Berlina black. The monkeys at the dealer scrathed the paintwork and tried to cover it up and did so by T-cutting the paint......leaving patches of matt black on the body work, that stands out like a saw thumb.
I took it back for them to sort it out and they have told me the car is in the process of being machine buffed/waxed........will this work or are they trying to fob me off?
Thanks!

I'd see what it looks like when they say they've finished it. And view it under various conditions, e.g. good daylight, artificial light etc. to see if this shows up the imperfections.

Good luck. You must be gutted, having waited for a shiny new car...

the dealer should have a little device for measuring the thickness of the paint... get them to show you they've not knackered yours by reducing the thickness of it.. try it compared to other panels.
if you're not sure how honest they are (about having one of these) call them up pretending to be some bloke with a civic and say you might have a paint warranty issue and are they able to tell if the paint is original...
bottom line is if you know where the scuffs are and you cannot tell by touching/looking it's probably ok.. the clear coat is thin on hondas but if you cut back through that the colour will not 'buff up' at all
