Default Owners Manual

I will take possession of my S in a couple of weeks and in order to build up to the event I was wondering if any of you would have an owners manual in PDF format (or something); or maybe a link to a web site?

I know... I'm sad, but I'm sure that most of you have been there... I'm currently in "give me more information"-mode. At least I wouldn't have to go through the "What does this button do?" when I pick up my baby.

You dont want the S2000 manual in English, and yoooou certainly dont want PDF.

What you want is the Japanese online manual translated through babelfish

http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr (Select Japanese to English)

Enter this URL

http://www.honda.co.jp/manual/s2000/2002/index.html

....much better and full of quaint translations like :

"The suicide seat occupant in order for the face and the chest not to get near to the instrument panel the above necessity, lowers the seat to rear."

Tyringe,

This is hilarious. To quote:

Correct Operational Attitude
The operator in order for correct operational attitude to come off, adjusts the seat.
Correct operational attitude, when the waist it is applied deeply in the seat, depress the pedal sufficiently without separating the back from the back rest, the attitude which can operate the steering wheel easily it is

The manual looks like written by Yoda it was

What were you on when you thought of this? or or

By the way, the Japanese do have to put the clutch in to start the engine.

External sound is audible at volume please uses the volume which is the on stream.
When external sound has not been audible it becomes the interference of careful driving.
In addition, the audio operation of being the on stream there is no hindrance in careful driving the sea urchin please do.

How come the Japanese get sea creatures with their cars?

Tyringe,

Thanks for that - I must say it's a lot more entertaining than a plain English one!

# Exhaust noise to change, when smell of the gasoline and the exhaust does not go out at inside of car of car, because you can think the abnormality of exhaust type and fuel type, please be sure to receive inspection at the HONDA Beruno store. - Just so you know!

Jap manual ess jollee gud reed. Entry on soft top operation contains the following:

"While or the halt time travelling, please do not put out the head and the hand and the thing et cetera. "

Good Grief! I would never have thought of putting out my thing when time travelling in a Stook - brings tears to the eyes.
