OPTIMAX in Europe

OPTIMAX in Europe
Well, only just over a week before we set off on our 3 week trip around Europe. I know that several people on this forum have completed similar trips, and I was wondering how easy it is to find the angel juice that is know as Optimax?

As I understand it the "Optimax" branded fuel is UK only (it certainly used to be but it may have changed in the last couple of years), however, equivalent (i.e. 98 Octane) is readily available throughout western Europe (certainly France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and so on).
If you're going further afield then I can't comment but I would expect it not to be a problem...

We're doing France, Italy, Switzerland and potentially Germany, so we should be ok. Guess we'll just fill up everytime the tank is less than half full and we see 98 RON available - just to prevent any stress (I don't want to put that yukky normal petrol in the S).
And I thought it was just me
