Just been trying and it most definitely won't, perhaps it's broken.
I suspect it will. They're just notoriously temperamental ...

Unlock then wait a second or two, then press unlock again and the boot should open. However, as Rob says, it will never perform when you need it.

There is a definite knack to opening the boot with the 2-button remote. Like others here, I manage it about 70% of the time. I didn't until now know what the criteria were until reading this, so maybe I can increase my success rate! The first time I opened the boot with the remote it was by accident and since then I just keep pressing the button and hoping it will work!

FWIW I find I get 95% success by pressing and then waiting until just before the indicators go out and then pressing and holding for half a seccond.

It seems to be the holding that helps as if I just blip it I get less than 50% success.

Bloody stupid design

Once you get the knack you very rarely get it wrong although i agree its a pain at times. When i first got mine i couldnt do it and thought everyone on here was taking the p*ss. Press and release once and then press and KEEP IT HELD DOWN before the first orange light goes out (about one second between the presses). Keep playing!!!

Just to add a little more confusion, mine works sometimes, but doesn't seem to work if I am pressing the button from the side of the car, only from the front, and never when I am carrying something I can't put down......

Well I've just spent the last 5 miniutes trying to do it, but it won't, no matter what combination I do. It works first time, every time with the other fob, so what's the point.

I just tried with both my fobs and no luck. I tried different amounts of time delay etc. held the button, pressed it quickly etc... no joy.
