I agree but you must resolve to follow through with it because in my own
expierience time makes you less likely to bother but you should.

Russ.
there is no middle ground and time will not make a difference
most people fall into the latter group
for example, try and find a case of someone who revenge-kills a murderer on their release from prison
you can't get much more motivation than someone killing one of your family

There may be no CCTV covering the car park but they will have CCTV covering their tills, this will be time stamped. This can be cross referenced with the assailants till receipt to show they bought eggs there.
I would really lean on tesco for them to pay for the repairs. Their customers wilfully damaged your car with Tesco products in their car park while you were shopping buying their products!

Matt,
Really sorry to hear about what happened to your car. I've used that branch of Tesco myself and never thought it to be a location the local chavs would hang out.
If you do find you need spray work doing to your car then Little Knocks might be worth a try. They are just off Molly Millers Lane.
As for getting Tesco's to pay for the repairs. Why not, they made record profits last year of over

Hi Matt, sorry to hear about what happened you are not the first, eggs have pretty hard shells, getting one thrown at you can fecking hurts, so imagine what it does to you car. I'm afraid I can't give you any good news, especially after seeing this one;
I would really advise seeking legal help and confirming the damage with insurance before you work on doing anything yourself. Modern paints are thin and are layered in such a way as to give little to play with.
You mentioned that it hasnt breached the clearcoat, TBH it looks here as though it has. If you do end up working on it yourself I would suggest touching up the worst with some Honda touch up paint and then smoothing off the edges using wet and dry. But you will have thined out the clearcoat around these so it will never be perfect, just less obviouse. Not an easy job and one to which I am still mastering.
See how you get on the legal front and if you get no where then give me a shout and I'll see if we can make it a little less obvious.

Thanks - have used them on the gf's mx5 previously
Was concerned that on 5 panels it was kind of looking at re-spray territory!
Deff my No.1 choice if I need to venture that route

Had similar this morning.........got out of car on way to work for a paper at 06.50,to note a ruddy great big scratch accross the drivers side wing, was livid and ranting all the way into the papershop.Came out and then found that b*stards had continued along to the rear and down to the light cluster with something sharp.
Got to work moped around all morning, rang wife and had a rant.............as it hadnt been there yesterday until someone went off to Stockport and Marks and Spencers........................why oh why.
Spent afternoon doing a reasonable t cutting and lots of elbow work job so that they have more or less gone.
