I know...I know. But this thing really is shit 
It's not just that it's a different kind of car either - I had a Jazz when they were doing the roof and that was fine.
I'd have preferred a Metro frankly.

I've got a Fiesta Encore (their words, not mine ) as a courtesy car at the moment. Diesel (at least it drives and sounds like one, not seen the badge yet). It's ok once you get up to speed on the motorway, parking without PAS is a revelation though

I'm sure they used to be perfectly serviceable little cars. A few friends in my late teens had them, as well as the smattering of Metros, Golfs and Clios.
Something went wrong in the world of the small car once everyone started trying to do the "Tardis" thing imho. Massive windscreens and going for huge visibility over drivability and all that.

The difference in behaviour in other road users is noticeable too. You don't exist.
Even pedestrians amble across the road only 20 yards away on the assumption that a) you can't possibly be going fast enough to be a danger and b) if by some miracle of physics you DO hit then, it's not going to hurt.
