OK - Failed... oh, correction Success!
Hi all,
Had my first attempt at "car maintenance" on the S2000 tonight.....
Objective: Install some Sokie Tech Dampers that I purchased from Tawain (get me - ordering stuff off fleabay!)
Result: Failed.
It seems that after installing them (I thought correctly) the bonnet doesn't close properly. I get an arch from front to back.
I must have something in the wrong place or the wrong way round.
Can anyone assist?
It may be that Left is Right and Right is Left. I put the "Left" one on the right side of the car (left as I looked at the bonnet).
Minvo.

If they came with little brackets, you may need to mess with the angles of them a little. Possibly wrong side, but I doubt it. I think some of them have adjustment so can be sorted.

Turn the dampers around so that they fit top to bottom from what the instructions suggest - they DO fit.

Mine are the same. Not had a chance to change it yet though.
My brackets are fitted as in that photo. From what I could tell, it was where they bolt into the wings that was the problem. The bolt with the round end that the damper snaps onto is too high I think. I took out a washer which helped a little... but not much.

I fitted some of these recently. I found it easiest not to follow the instructions and just basically guess how they should fit. It worked a treat. Taking them apart more than the form they came in helped, especially when trying to 'squash' them by hand to screw the damper rods into place.
