oil pressure switch?

oil pressure switch?
Hello people I'm hoping someone can direct me to locating the oil pressure switch on my s2000 (2001)
Recently I had my engine replaced from a UK spec s2000 to a Japanese engine.
I am having problems with the VTEC system not functioning. I also have a check engine light appearing on the dashboard.
The error code I get is : P1259 (A problem in the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch circuit or VTEC Solenoid Valve circuit).
The UK dealer service manual states that the oil pressure switch is located under the VTEC solenoid attached to the engine, However my japanese engine doesn't!!!
Should it be the same as the UK engine or is the oil pressure switch somewhere else.

I'd heard there is no vtec oil pressure switch in JDM engines.
They have an extra knock sensor instead.

I found that from my research on JDM
Why would you put a JDM engine in a UK car?

Lots of pics of it here. Its below the assembly which my hand is going into.
And here's the sensor / switch itself - ive got an extension on it so its normally bolted into the block
I think its right that the JDM doesnt have it, but I have no idea how it detects VTEC on the JDM!!
(Oil pressure and the knock sensor aren't related)

thanks dude yep thats what i was thinking about the knock sensor. that picture clearly shows the oil pressure switch but on mine and all other jap ones that i have seen there

This can be fixed - I think!
Without a pressure switch input to the ECU - it wont go into VTEC.
Ok, what you can do if the bolt is there, is get hold of an oil pressure switch from a UK car and fit it to your block.
You would have to be careful and check whether yours goes all the way through. I suspect its a cap head (allen key fit) blank into the block. Are the holes there for the whole assembly shown above?
If so i can tank you through a possible way to solve this (hopefully)
Will involve wiring direct to your ECU - I will have to dig my drawings out.

are you using the Jap or the EU ecu?
Maybe the Jap doesn't need the sensor to go over 6200, but the EU ecu does need it.
(The reason I mention the 2nd knock is it's the only other sensor change I'd read apart from the Vtec oil one)
Where in the UK are you?
I obviously have a Jap ECU if you wanted to test and are local.
