I take it your talking about the standard Honda item and not the opie one?

If you do a search for 'Oil Filter Loose' you will find plenty of threads on the subject of oil filters removing themselves.
Now, some blame the oil filter, some blame the way it was fitted.
The required fitting spec is to screw on until the rubber seal gets contact with the mounting surface. Then 7/8ths of a turn.
I have used a few filters using this method and have had no issues.
However, I now use a Honda one because the Honda Garage is literally 1.5 miles from my house.

I think I have found where you got that on a certain auction site.
Couple of questions for you:
1) How quick was delivery ? I have a service at TGM on Tuesday and am going to supply my own oil.
2) I've always run mine on Shell Helix Ultra 5w40, what if any effects would moving to a 0w40 oil have ?
3) I know this is subjective, but what advantages would the Castrol product have over the Shell ?
Ta.

2) None. I have ran mine on 10-40semi, 5-40 Silolene ProS, 5-30 Castrol Edge. The Castrol Edge was the best. I can see the 0-40 proving to be a little better, but there will be absolutely no issues! I do not rate the Shell Ultra Helix at all TBH.
3) IME, the Castrol seems to suit Honda engines. Maybe this is why Honda offer it as OEM, but I have found that it has peformed the best for me.
At the rate of which I change my oil, this also offers good value for money.

The Edge 5W-30 is a very good oil. You would hope so with the amount it cost to develop!

Couldn't get hold of that Ebay chap in time so didn't buy off him in the end.
Just had my service done at TGM and they put Castrol Edge 10w60 in it.
If it's good enough for their race cars it's good enough for me.
