Am I missing something, or have i selected the wrong oil from thier website? Please put me right on the correct purchase if I have. thanks.
They are wrong.

It carries many of the specifications for gasoline vehicles.

Si - you said about putting 10w-60 in the car as a way of reducing oil consumption. Would this really be acceptable? If it is, I might try this when I do my next oil change.

Cheers

The 10W-60 is in the M3 V8, M3 S6, R8 V10 and Buggatti Veyron.

It's certainly up to the job, both in high power and high revving engines.

Would the 60 rating or viscosity not have any detrimental effect, considering the manual recommends a 40 rating?

Thanks again,
Andy

Hi all

My two-penneth... I use GRO (Global Racing Oil), a Spanish brand. Specifically the GXS 5W30 Fully Synthetic race oil. It is SL/CI4, A3/B3/B4 and DB 229.1, 228.3 for officionados. My parents are the distributors so I kinda get it for a really good price!!

IMO 0w 30 isn't suitable for the S2000.

I'd ask themto change it, and use the owners manual as backup.
I didn't think this oil would be a problem. It is perhaps a winter oil as it is graded to work (and therefore start) at below zero temperatures. But it will still be fine at any other temperature above that. The 30 is the viscosity, the thickness of the oil. This is certainly within the normal range for the car. I wouldn't worry about it. If it is full synthetic then all's well, IMO
