Did you ask him which lube was best for bedroom antics with AJ?

If the oil filter is doing its job, then why should the oil be dirty?

It's all down to filtration size, which is a trade off from flow / pressure. Fitler too much and you don't get oil flow. So you can't filter everything. Lubriaction Oil is designed to pick up small contaminants from fuel / combustion and crap which gets past the air filter.

Which oil do you use then MB? Just curious

Motul 5w40 V300. Pretty much have for the last 10 years on all my cars, bar the Porker. Although I have just started using Edge for some brand loyalty

Beware of anyone saying "I use this and it's great" though.

This winds me up.

Completely meaningless unless they have done some testing and engine tear downs. Just becuase you put it in a few months ago and your engine hasn't blown up, doesn't constitute a good oil.

For this reason, people to believe are the likes of Si2k.

My own view is that it's a far too discussed topic. Most research it more than what liquid they pollute their own body with!

You could run an S on a pretty basic semi synthetic oil all it's life and the engine wouldn't fail due to anything oil related.

I use a FS because of the hard life it gets...

Mind you, mine was full of Castrol when it blew up.

Doesn't mean it was the oil's fault, though!

Stick 10W-60 if you don't want oil consumption.
But maybe lose 2 bhp?
