Well 0w oils are for freezing climates. So it will be overly thin when cold and warming up.
The 30 bit is ok though - but I personally prefer 5w 40.

Early engines can use a lot, but not that much. I usually use about 2-3l of top-up oil between services (7-8k).
I have heard of engines using as much as 1l every 1000 miles, but never 3l in 500 miles
I thought all honda dealers were meant to be using Castrol SLX on their performance engines these days. (5w-30 IIRC)

Needless to say they didnt end up servicing my DC5 so I went out of my way to go somewhere else.

The problem with the thinner oils is when the engine is up to temperature. The base oil viscosity tends to be lower than other oils which can cause film thickness to break down.
