Oil Level
I must admit that I have not checked my engine oil for a while, mainly due to the fact that between the last service (27k to 36k) it didn't use a drop. However, I have done 6k since the last service in March, I checked the oil last night (hot engine) and again this morning (cold engine) and it was just below the bottom x on the dipstick.
I know I am going to get grief for not checking my oil more often
I have just put in 750ml of oil, and I have checked the dip stick to see that there are still 2 x's to go.
How much oil should it take to go from the low level to full level on the dip stick?
Thanks

All depends on how you've been driving it while the oil has been low, sounds about right for how low it went 1litre should be enough, it holds just under 5 when empty . You will just have to wait and see and check it regularly.

engine oil! 0w30 3.5L in 522 mile and the honda dealer said it was ok to drive, now the engine has gone bang!!!
possible reasons for that amount of loss? no oil on drive and no smoke!

Well 0w oils are for freezing climates. So it will be overly thin when cold and warming up.
The 30 bit is ok though - but I personally prefer 5w 40.
