Default Oil drain valve

Hi

Where I can buy a oil drain valve to replace sump plug. like this one:
http://www.js2k.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=13

First of all are these worth installing? any problems?

I would prefer to buy from UK, cheaper posting.

Thanks in advance

I was skeptical but thought would gauge opinion. I mean I have a jack and axle stands so an oil change is no big job

Their sales pitch seems to cover the two main concerns; leaks and hitting obstacles, but I'd still be wary and probably spend the money on a Pela 6000 sump sucker instead. I suppose one benefit would be that your car would be level when you drained the oil rather than jacked up at the front.

You can still drain the oil in the same way as the sump plug can be reached from the top

I have to have a Pela for my boat, works on the Mrs' Golf but not tried the S2000 yet - I heard rumours that the dipstick might be too thin to get the hose down but never tried. I had an electric transfer pump before but it cracked, Pela has been going strong for a few seasons now.

i cant speak for the pela but i tried my extractor with a narrow tube and i still couldnt get it to clear down the dipstick hole. Gave up in the end especially as Dave says the sump plug isnt any hardship to undo.
