Oil catch can
Just wondering really, I noticed the other day theres a bit of oil in my K&N filter. I also heard if you use a catch can you stop the oil and some hot air getting sucked back through the intake which may save you 0.005BHP. Also helps reduce the amount of crud getting caught up in map sensor channels.
Anyone tried it? Worth doing?

First off all, the likelyhood is that the oil you're seeing on the K and N is the stuff that's meant to be there, the filters come pre oiled throughout the gauze to aid filtration.
It's unlikely that oil mist/sludge would ever make it 'up' that far.
As for the catch can, I ran a Cusco one on my old S, looked great, but in three track days (hot - middle of summer) and maybe 10,000 miles of fast road driving; it caught half a teaspoon.
I got it at the same time as my baffled sump mind...

I ordered this one off ebay, it should be here any day now! Its baffled so should work properly and is actually two cans, I understand the cusco ones aren't baffled so don't really do a great deal as a result.

I was getting smoke out the back on very hard cornering on the track after fitting a baffled sump and AD08's so thinking that I need one, well I hope that is what was causing it.

Depends on engine age, condition of internal engine items and time of the year to how effective it is.
On an N/A its 'almost' not worth it apart from the small amount by which it wont shit your TB up etc, however i would run one N/A.
A CC that it not baffled or does not have any internal material is more or less useless - a lot of people do this and wonder why nothing is getting caught.
