Default Oil?

I'm looking to get a bit of top up oil. The book says 10w 30, but I've also has 5w 40 recommended. Hoping someone can tell me what's best for the S. The car does have FHSH but it doesn't give the oil used.
Help much appreciated.

Check your last service invoice for the oil used. Typically dealers either use 5W40 or 10W40.

You can buy the recommended 10W30 by Redline Oils from Fluke motorsport, check my sig.

So, as long as I use 5w 40 or 10w 40 - brand not that important?
Semi or full synth?

5W will give you slightly better cold start protection than 10W.

Personally, I dont think its worth skimping the few

Will the 5W30 oil listed in the link in your sig be ok to use in a new engine being run in on the factory mineral oil?

Thats one for the dealer. You will have to go with what they recommend for warranty reasons I think.
