So imagine the scene:

It's a nice morning, the sky is clear and the weather is cold but brisk
Our hero decides to go to work with the roof down at 7:00am

Travelling down his usual A-road he broaches the crest of the usual humpback bridge at the usual national speed limit

They've only gone and dropped a temporary ing traffic light on the down-hill slope of the bridge.

Reckon it was only the wakening effects of sub-zero temperatures and roof down driving that gave me the super human reflexes to throw her right and slam on the anchors in time to come to a sliding halt alongside the Civic Type R that was pulled up at the lights

At least roof down driving gets rid of the rather unpleasent cabin smells after an event like that

So it's their fault there was something stopped on the other side of the blind hump back bridge?

Glad that luck was on your side Ben

Don't remember seeing anything but wouldn't swear to it.

My fault for this one. I was just very, very lucky that the road is 2 1/2 to 3 cars wide so I could throw her across the road to avoid the parked cars.

Thing is I take this road every day since I moved house and I knew there was a flood on the far side of the bridge the previous night. Should have guessed that there may be problems the next morning. Mind you still doesn't prepare one for coming across stationary cars 50 feet in front of you when arriving on the scene at about 50mph!!!!

I can 100% guarentee an S + CTR mash would take the 'list' number one spot.

Any damage over 1k would have taken #1 spot. No worries.

It was the sheepish grin as I pulled to a sliding stop alongside the CTR and then trying to restart the stalled engine that added the cherry to the top

Lucky you didn't try to get air off the bridge

A real brown pants moment!

Glad you avoided any damage.

Lets face it if there had of been warning signs you'd have seen them.
