Sorry to hear about that..
I have yet to have a moment like that... in fact the only adverse thing I have had was provoking a little understeer on a roundabout near where I live (dust and dirt on the road I think...)?!?!?
Mine is a 2003 model though, what model was yours??
I guess I have been made paraniod by all the warnings over the s2k's tendency to break away pretty violently at the rear... But the car has always stuck pretty firmly to the road for me... I have tried provoking the rear end to step out through the throttle on a nice flat piece of grass, but just got more understeer....

Just thought I'd let you know that I got my car back yesterday, and all (so far) seems to be hunky dorey with it.
I'd got rather used to driving my wife's Megane for the last 2 weeks or so, so it did feel a bit strange getting back behind a steering wheel that actually responds when you put in a small input!!
Drove all the way home from work round the M25 last night in the rain with the top down

Got a few bemused looks from other motorists, which was quite amusing.

I just love doing that, you do get the strangest looks! Did it at the weekend, it gets a bit hairy when you start to hit traffic and approach the 50mph threshold. It's like being in the film Speed 'don't go below 50'
Good to hear you've got your car back.
