Default Oh dear....No escape

All,

Change of circumstance means that the S2000 is going to have to be changed as I need something with a boot

The need for something fast and fun cant be ignored and I have been looking at the options and boiled it down to these. Intersted to hear what you would all get if you had to!?

Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon
Forester Turbo
BMW 330 Touring SE
Audi S2 ( Old but still amazing, but VERY expensive if it goes wrong)

thought of a 330 cd?

with some very minor tweaks they have better in-gear acceleration than an M3 and return 45+mpg according to my colleague (who owns one!)

here we go

amazing that BMW manage to sell any M3s really

and Christ knows how Porsche sell any GT3s

with Seat Cupra diesels having better acceleration times

I was merely trying to suggest an alternative, based on the recommendations of my colleague who has owned both a 2004 M3 and a 2005 330cd...

i personally have no experience of *anything* - hold on, i can whup anything away from the lights on my bicycle...

S2, if you like the drive of it better, will probably suffer near-zero depreciation. Which will offset any maintenance requirements.

How much are you going to lose on a 330 or a Scooby Wagon?

Otherwise that seems like a sensible list. Maybe an S4 Avant, if in your price range?

Used Audi S4 avant - great twin turbo and easily remapped to 300+bhp

The S2 is too old IMO.

330 is ok.

Scoob will be v.reliable and will have good residuals.

Mazda MPS... pelease what a pile of cack.
