Bad luck dude. 
It doesn't sound like a complete mess so lets hope you get back on the road soon. I think mine took 10 days to repair after my coming together with some hedges and a fence.

Thats a bummer MBEveryone-just goes to show that even those who have had the car for a long time and have plenty of experience, the car can still surprise

Maybe being paranoid, but you might want to edit the first two - don't want to give the insurer any pointers
I pointed the finger at the LSD - dunno if there are any experts who can give an opinion?
Don Palmer (and others I am sure) does a great course on skid control (and post crash trauma management if you need it) - though he's be the first to say that if your tyres lost contact with the road in the wet then Colim McRae wouldn't have recovered it

Terrible news but good to hear you are A OK. Hope you get your baby back on the road soon. As has been said above get repairs carried out with a Honda dealer.
The new front tyres might have been a possible reason for this. Although having said that I managed to spin my car at 50mph on the track day recently. I wasn't going very fast at the time as it was very slippy around the bend and I must have applied about 1/5 power and totally unable to hold the slide and round I went so I know how easily this can happen and more importantly how quickly the car swaps ends.
Just to let you know MattUK and I and arranging to go to 1stLotus day and if your car is back in time let me know if you would like to join in for some advanced driving lessons.
