Default Oh blimey, that's done it...

...thought I'd pop the top off the airbox this afternoon when I nipped out to grab some bbq goodies.

Unfortunately it sounded so fantastic I went for a 45 mile drive, and got back a little too late to fire up the Weber.

So, as I'm in trouble anyway, will the K&N FIPK sound as good as no airbox lid, or better?

(BTW I've had the car a months now and haven't spent anything on it this week!)

I've had...

* Gutted box, drop-in K&n filter and snorkle
* K&n FIPK with Snorkle
* AEM V2

In my opinion and an ex girlfriends opinion the AEM sounded better.

will the AEM sound much better than the OEM with the airbox lid off (just wondering whether the £300 is justified)?

cheers

It's justified mate, trust me I've had one on mine for nearly 2 years now.
The noise/sound can only be described as the car ripping itself a new arse hole everytime you go into VTEC!

Hope that justifies the 250-300 notes? Now go buy one.
