Default odd sound

When I pull away, particularly with the top down I can hear a strange 'woofling' or rubbing sound over my right shoulder which sounds to me like it comes from the rear drivers side wheel, as it gets progressively quicker as I speed up. I thought it was a wheel bearing even though my car is only 6 months and 4k miles old but I took it to my local dealer yesterday. Typically no sound when they drove it - I think it must go as the car warms up - and no sign of any problem when they put it on the ramp.

Has anybody else had this sort of sound (assuming you can work it out from my poor description!). Or else any ideas welcome. Thanks.

How hot are your rear discs when you stop? I've heard a few tales of seized callipers on the back.

"I can hear a strange 'woofling'"
