Default NSX type-r engine in a 2000?

It may have already been covered? has anyone even considered if the V6 would fit? mind you saying that you'd need a bigger fuel tank, no idea what the economy is like with the 3.2?

I reckon it'll fit, if not you can make it fit.
I considered this but decided on V8 instead

Isn't the NSX engine transverse rather than longitudinally mounted? Might cause a few issues...

Doesn't really matter, people are putting K20 and K24 engines in our cars which normally come out of Civic's and CR-V's.

Yes, but you'll have manifold problems since it's a 90 degree V6.

A J35 or J37 goes in a lot easier - if you can find one.

Most people however, go back to an F20c and a snail.

The C30 isn't going to fit. 90º DOHC per bank Vee six. You'd need to alter the susp turrets and that's just pointless.

J series engine is still 24 valve despite being SOHC per bank - and old Honda D-Series trick

The J offers up a 30kg weight penalty, but it is slightly further back. Get rid of the heavy inlet manifolds for some bike throttles and you'd claw 10kg of that back straight away.

350 NA bhp if you can find some cams and get it to rev up.

That's the problem; like the D, it's a bit of a stroker & the heads are too compact for much tuning.

A snail, intercooler etc are heavy & in the wrong place, slightly ahead of the axle line on an F20c. So the mass difference isn't ultimately that much, merely the distribution.

But the F20c is built to go to stratospheric levels of power relatively easily. AND you don't need a difficult bellhousing conversion. Or DBW steering, like you would with a C32!
